Start with a clear portrait and choose the emotion you want to send. A side eye works as a quiet comeback, laughter answers a joke, and a crying reaction exaggerates disappointment. You need a still photo, not a recording of the expression.
Use Side Eye for a small eye movement, Laughing for an open smile, or Crying for an exaggerated emotional reaction. Stock Market Mood adds a fictional chart scene. These presets create different results; changing the style alone does not turn a side eye into a laugh.
Keep the important features visible
For a side eye, use a forward-facing photo with both eyes visible. For laughter, leave the mouth unobstructed. For crying, avoid sunglasses and deep shadows around the eyes. Crop out other people and keep some room around the head. Use your own photo or a reference you have permission to animate.
Inspect the expression and the return to rest
Watch the whole preview. Check that the eyes point in a plausible direction, teeth do not change shape, and glasses or hair do not disappear. Compare the first and last moments. If likeness is weak, try a clearer reference or a less dramatic preset; downloading a different format will not repair the generated face.
Choose one GIF or a full expression pack
Download an available GIF when you want one reaction. Use a face-pack template when you want a coordinated set for repeated conversations. Preview the result at the size it will appear in chat. An individual GIF can be shared as an animation; installing a sticker pack requires the appropriate export and import workflow.

Use the WebM video sticker export, then follow the Telegram guide to add the pack.

Download WhatsApp-ready WebP files, then use a compatible sticker importer. A website download does not install a whole pack. See the import steps.

Share GIFs in messages or an available silent MP4 on social platforms.
Questions before you start
Can I make a reaction GIF without filming myself?
Yes. The preset workflow uses one still portrait to generate a fictional reaction. You do not need to act out the expression on camera.
Can I make a laughing GIF with sound?
The GIF format has no audio. GifEmoji’s reaction exports are silent; this workflow does not record or clone your laugh.
Can I add my pet instead of my face?
Use a preset that accepts pets, then check the muzzle, eyes and markings carefully. A full-body dancing-pet template serves a different purpose from a facial reaction.
